WYRD COVEN

Wyrd Coven is a 24 hour ceremonial camping gathering over the October full moon, held on private land about an hour drive east of the Twin Cities.

We will be coming together to weave:

  • Enacted devotional ritual

  • Trance practice

  • Ancestor reverence

  • Land connection + forest/field sitting

  • Nordic traditions of seidr, spa, galdr, with special attention giving to Volva staving play

  • Celtic traditions of bardic invocation and storytelling

  • Death and dreaming practices

  • Singing, dancing, spell casting

  • Community merriment and deepening

The word wyrd is an older spelling of weird. And it is connected to the Web of Wyrd in Norse cosmology (out of which came the runes). The Web of Wyrd is the realm of all potentials. So to be wyrd is to be connected with this realm. This will be the essence of what we are exploring as we journey together.

Our ceremony is a sliding-scale suggested donation event, open to all peoples, to support accessibility.

Space is limited to respect the land and maintain coherence within the group.

If you are interested in joining our circle or have questions, please send a direct email with subject line “Wyrd Coven” to me at connect@portiarichardson.love. I will send you more info about logistics, registration, and preparation.

Registration closes on Friday 9/23.
