BARD PARTY
A 2024 intention of mine is to create more opportunities to build vibrant local animist community.
Thus, I’ve decided to host a quarterly open house hang, jam, and story circle - with gathering dates near to the four fire festivals within the Celtic calendar wheel.
Join me in my humble home for some family friendly merriment with music, stories, poetry, libations, and a good heap of mischief making. And a bit of seasonal ritual, of course.
Bring your kiddos!
And a small finger food munchy to share + byo drinks and social lubricants of choice.
As well as instruments and any inspired artistic works you would like to share. Unfinished and work-in-progess creations are most welcome!
And any offerings for our communal altar.
FREE ~ This is not a class. It is a social gathering of crazy bards, simply for fun.

We will gather virtually once per month on Sundays from February - July for 2 hours.
Each gathering we will explore different foundational themes and simple experiential practices, as well as have ample space for group sharing and discussion.
Instructions and suggestions for further skill cultivation and integration will be emailed to our practice coven along with call recordings following each gathering.
During our journey together we will weave our:
heart connections within an emerging community of kindred humans
sacred and mundane experiences of devotion to and communion with animate forces
collective visioning and shared dreaming
insights and inspirations
sacred stories and artistic offerings
We will explore foundational practices including:
nature immersion and land connection
devotional ritual

symbolic literacy
spiritual activism
It is understandable that you may not be able to attend all the live calls over the 6 months container, but you are highly encouraged to engage and participate to the degree you are able and willing.
The more you show up, the more you’ll receive from this journey - and the more we will all benefit from our generously shared reflections.
This journey is for beginner and advanced practitioners alike! We will be learning from each other and all experiences and perspectives are welcome.

For those of you who are wanting frame drum instruction and communal practice time ~ this is for you!

We will gather in my cozy house to explore frame drumming as animist devotional practice.
Over the course of the night together we will play with beginner friendly frame drum instruction and trance journeying protocols.
As well as practice ancestral connection through devotional ritual, rhythmic invocation, and shared stories, songs, and chants.
We will attune to the energetics of the fall season and dark moon lunar phase as we drum for our dead and send our blessings through into the Otherworld.
Please bring your own drum and any other instruments you’d like to play.
All levels of frame drumming experience are welcome.

One of the most powerful aspects of drumming and the reason people have done it since the beginning of being human is that it changes people's consciousness. Through rhythmic repetition of ritual sounds, the body, the brain and the nervous system are energized and transformed. When a group of people play a rhythm for an extended period of time, their brain waves become entrained to the rhythm and they have a shared brain wave state. The longer the drumming goes on, the more powerful the entrainment becomes. It's really the oldest holy communion.
